If you’ve spent any time at all in Bend, Oregon then you’ve probably heard of our Ocean Rolls. If you haven’t, it’s time for you to climb out from underneath the rock you’ve been hiding under, get down here, and give one a try. The Ocean Roll is our signature pastry that we make from scratch every single day of the week.
It starts with a traditional croissant dough that we make on-site at our Bread Shop. Starting EARLY each morning we roll out the dough. Next we add a layer of cardamom, sugar, and vanilla. We then roll it up, add a splash of egg wash, and bake it to golden perfection.
The flavor is one you won’t soon forget. The natural warmth of the cardamom plays perfectly with the slightly sweet mix of the sugar and vanilla. Pair it with a French press coffee or espresso drink from one of our amazingly talented baristas and you’ve got a match made in heaven.
You can find ocean rolls at our Scott Street bakery, our Northwest Crossing restaurant, or at any one of the fine establishments around Bend that carries them. Just be sure to get here early, since it’s not unusual for us to sell out!
